Here’s your simple mission for today:
- Notice when you’re about to react.
Maybe it’s during a frustrating email, a money decision, or an urge to procrastinate. - Take a 5-second pause.
Literally count: 5… 4… 3… 2… 1.
(Or take one deep breath if you’re in public and don’t want to look weird.) - Ask yourself:
- Is this action aligned with who I’m becoming?
- What outcome do I really want here?
- Choose your next move intentionally.
Example:
- Before: You’re about to buy something impulsively online after a stressful day.
- Power Pause: Breathe. Ask: Is this purchase moving me closer to my bigger goals?
- After: You realize it’s emotional spending—and decide to wait 24 hours before buying.
